Description

NIA is a Swahili word, which means “PURPOSE.” On this evening the Sinclair campus will recognize local individuals who demonstrate leadership and good deeds with the “purpose” of uplifting African-American students on campus and/or citizens throughout the Miami Valley.

The Meet & Greet reception is 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. followed by the award ceremony and performances beginning at 6:30 p.m. Join us as Dr. Raymond Wise, Associate Director of the African American Arts Institute of Indiana University shares with us how to "Stand in Purpose", along with gospel performances by LIFE - the Sinclair Gospel Ensemble, IMANI, and guest performers TOMMY MCGUFFEY & TRUE WORSHIP. This is going to be an awesome time of celebration as we close out African American History Month.

SPECIAL NOTE: In order to adequately prepare for the reception, please RSVP for your FREE ticket. You may select a Reception & Program ticket, or Program only.

We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate our Purpose!
